I love bears too – good luck, Alexandra! That would certainly be an awesome opportunity =)

Thanks Andrea! They’re announcing the winner later this week, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed
Cute kind of bears..I want to see this in real life..Thanks for sharing with us.. I’m one of those people that go on and on and on about animals like people who talk about their babies all the time.
Glad to hear that I’m not the only one who does that
Hope you go. I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun. Definitely do bears, Sophie!

I love animals. And bears… where do you get the chance to work with bears…! So unusual. This would be a wonderful experience.Good luck!
Thanks Robert, it’s certainly not an everyday experience!
Lovely pic. It’s actually pretty amazing to think that there are still bears in the wild in Europe.

Yes, now that you mention it it got me thinking… We’ve got bears in Norway, but they’re not wild, not really anyway. It’s rather sad, actually…
Bears are adorable but we have to beware, they can also be harmful..
It’s a big opportunity to visit some places like Romania, you have to grab it! It’s once in a lifetime experience…
Lovely picture, I totally understand the love for animals, you can be 100% sure your dog will ALWAYS be happy to see you

Hey when we were in Romania we stayed with a great guy named Colin. He runs Roving Romania http://www.roving-romania.co.uk/ and is very active in the Tourism in Romania. He specializes in Transylvania region and eco-tourism. Great man, a British ex-pat.

Great tip Kurt, thanks for that! I hope I get to go, if I do I’ll definitely contact him!
Cute bear… Love it. You really have a lovely picture posted.
What a wonderful project! Hope you win
Thanks Tina!
This would be an adventure of a lifetime! Good luck

This really was such a neat opportunity! I hope you get to work with bears somewhere else if not in Romania…

Yes, I’m not that picky really – wouldn’t mind another animal either
Lions in Africa, for example!
Bears are awesome.
Alexandra, all the best to you, and I hope you win!

Thanks so much Luis!
I’ve been in Romania for 2 months a couple of years ago, I’ve been actually in Transylvania, and those mountains and valleys with those beautiful lakes (Murder-lake I think) was really amazing! Actually, we haven’t seen any bear in the forest but our leader has shown us a big brown potty-hill which was from a big brown bear. On a pic, these animals are cute and sweet, but IRL they are dangerous wild animals.
They are dangerous and it’s important that we respect them – very true! But I think we can learn a lot from wild animals, so I would be ecstatic if I won!
Sounds like an amazing opportunity! I’m terrified of bears so I prefer to appreciate their beauty in photos like this rather than up close.

I’ll have to get on iTunes and check that song out. To answer the question about Transylvania — I’d love to go there, but not sure about volunteering with the bears even though they are super cute.

Bears are endangered animals and need help, and we can give or do our part to help them This would be a great opportunity to experience it. Hope you win!
I love bears and spent a summer volunteering collecting bear hair for DNA analysis. Hope you’re the lucky winner, it sounds like an incredible project.
