Passports with purpose

Heard of Passports with purpose? No? Well, here’s the skinny:

“Passports with Purpose is an annual travel bloggers’ fundraiser. In 2009, 90 bloggers participated and raised almost USD 30 000 to build a school in Cambodia. This year, USD 50 000 will be raised – to build an entire village in Tamil Nadu, India through partnership with LAFTI international. LAFTI has been working in India for nearly 30 years and is the recipient of two prestigious humanitarian awards, the Opus Prize Award, and the Right Livelihood Award.

If you’re a blogger and would like to participate, here’s how to get involved.

I’m not very good at asking for stuff, I’m afraid. So unless some generous company comes along asking me to host a prize, I’ll just donate to this very worthy cause instead. I hope you’ll consider doing the same. And do tell all your friends about this fundraiser.

Donations must be in by 13 December. Here’s how to donate.
