On press coverage:
Besides being writer, editor and owner of Sophie’s World, I write for various other online and print media, including various in-flight magazines (see published storied here).
I am happy to consider press trips, individually or with groups to any part of the world. I’m occasionally available on relatively short notice for shorter press trips within Europe and neighbouring regions.
I aim to cover the entire world and especially enjoy visiting destinations off the beaten track, or having off the beaten track experiences in more well-known cities and countries. I travel on my own or with my daughters (aged 24 and 10), and will also consider press trips focusing on family breaks or activities geared towards children, and where I can include one or both of my daughters at reduced rates.
This is what I offer:
During the trip (internet access depending), I will write short blog posts and tweet about interesting experiences and things I see, to generate immediate interest.
When I return, I will write more in-depth articles on my blog and/or other blogs I regularly write for. This will include full coverage on my blog, Sophie’s World, meaning several articles on various aspects of the visit, such as sightseeing, activities, accommodation reviews, food and more. Articles on Sophie’s World are syndicated on Lonely Planet, to ensure a wider audience. I frequently write for other established blogs as well, including the Matador Network, Boots’n'All, EuropeUpClose and more. Furthermore, I have a very good network within the travel blogging community and will often write guest posts on other blogs.
I will promote the articles and the destination on social media, such as Twitter, my Facebook fan page and StumbleUpon.
If the sponsoring organisation would like an article to appear on their website, I will gladly provide this. Photographs from trips are available on my Flickr site. The sponsoring organisation is, of course, free to use the photos.
If you have other suggestions for how we can work together, I’m happy to discuss, so do get in touch – redisch at gmail dot com.
